During his short stay in Erie Community College (he dropped out to start his own business), Terence Van Horn founded The Black Student Union. It was his first collaboration working with and leading a team of dedicated individuals; he had graduated from high school 3 months earlier and it was his first semester in college. Terence was so enthusiastic and outspoken as a freshman, that the older students who had been there 2 years prior- All unanimously voted for Terence to be their President of The Organization For Students of African Descent and also for the Students Marketing Association.

Righteous Transportation- A small city wide transportation company where he creatively designed a unique concept of TRANSPO DEPOT's for employees and school children- lessening the need for the time wasting and excessive drop off and pick up head aches for single parents, families with only one vehicle and non driving employees working in the city.
Evon's Garden- A meals on wheels concept for local business owners who desired to have delivered food hot, uniquely homemade and in a hurry! How many times have you been hungry, sitting in the barbershop, beauty salon, insurance agency or doctors office.... and you had to wait until they CAME BACK FROM LUNCH!!! This was a quick solution to have good healthy lunch prepared and delivered daily to business owners. This concept has been copied even up until today with traveling chefs, hot and frozen meals delivered to your door etc.
Van Horn Media- A full service Advertising and Marketing firm that catered to small to mid sized businesses. Small mom and pop merchants were given the opportunity to advertise their business on billboards, subway stations, metro buses, print media as well as all major cable channels including CNN, BET, MTV, NICK AT NIGHT, ESPN and others... Before Van Horn offered this mega city opportunity , small merchants were only advertising in classifieds and other smaller outlets.
VHG Wireless- A pager and cell phone store with a another one of those unique marketing twists. Terence personally handed out 3000 business cards that only contained information on having the lowest prices in the marketplace. He went DOOR TO DOOR and sold his pagers and cell phones to business owners and their employees. Picture a well dressed gentleman walking into a beauty salon or barbershop introducing himself and walking out with 10 contracts for cell phones and beepers.....
